GET YOU SOME! (Some chocolate for good health that is):

So turns out my chocolate cravings where actually me being healthy & I can back it up by real science!

No seriously a small clinical trial just shows that dark chocolate consumption increases neuroplasticity, improves memory and mood, reduces stress and inflammation to go along with past findings of it fighting free radicals, preventing heart disease, raising good cholesterol, lowering blood pressure.

And another recent review of randomized controlled trials found that people generally had enhancements in working memory performance and improved visual information processing after eating cocoa flavanols.

But before you run out and stock up on chocolate bars, it’s important to note that you’d have to eat about seven bars a day to ingest the 138 milligrams of epicatechin given to the study participants.

A healthy portion of dark chocolate is about 1.5 ounces. However, the results do suggest an important link between the compound and memory-loss. Certain supplements contain healthy doses of epicatechin, and the antioxidant can also be found naturally in apples, blackberries, and green tea.
